I received my new split tail cone from Aerofairings today. I was disappointed because it did not include the fastners at the split. This unit must be drilled and fitted with Camlocs or Dzus fastners. Globe’s tail cone is already fitted with fastners. For the 20.00 more, I should have purchased the Globe unit.
Globe units are an approved replacement part as well. I also purchased a nose gear fairing. The quality and construction are very impressive on both units. The price on the nose fairing was 68.00 and the tail cone was 292.00 after the BAC discount. This can change with the Canadian exchange rate. In my opinion, purchase the tail cone through Globe and if you need a nose fairing, get it through Aerofairings.
