The group rate will be available three days before and after the meeting dates. Because this is a popular destination, it is best to make your reservations now and you can adjust them later, if necessary. The cutoff date for receiving the group rate is August 26, 2012.
For those traveling by commercial air, the Pensacola, FL (KPNS) airport is 31 miles to the east and is approximately 50 minutes away by car. All the major car rentals are available in the terminal.
If you would like to rent a car in Gulf Shores, Hertz rentals are available at Gulf Air Center, our host FBO at KJKA. Advance Hertz reservations are required by calling the FBO, 1-877-548-5324
The Gulf Shores area is geared toward tourism and is filled with restaurants, water activities, entertainment and shopping. Tanger Outlet Mall is located sixteen miles from The Island House Hotel.
The gulf will still be warm in September, so bring your swimsuit and plan to enjoy the pool or the beach. And don’t forget your camera.

· Early arrivals in Gulf Shores.
· Thursday evening – Optional dinner at Lambert’s (15 miles from the hotel).
· Shopping at Tanger Outlet Mall (16 miles from the hotel).
· Plenty of time to enjoy the pool and beach.
· Ample number of nearby ocean activities.
Friday, September 28
· Arrivals at Jack Edwards airport (KJKA) or commercially at Pensacola, FL (KPNS).
· Spend the morning visiting and walking the line at Jack Edwards airport.
· Planned tour to the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, FL (approximately 30 minute drive from hotel). Plan to depart the hotel by noon and return by 5:30 PM.

Saturday, September 29
· Luncheons & General Membership Meeting, noon – 1 PM. Buffet lunch & open bar.
