At the call of the President, Nominations for the Executive Vice President position and Board of Director positions for the 2 year term 2021/2022 were opened to the membership on 15 November 2020!
Below are those who were nominated for the various positions at the close of nominations, midnight Eastern Time last night.
For 2021-2022 the positions to be filled were:
Executive Vice President: 2 year term ending 12/31/2022 – Bob Prange ran unopposed and is declared elected by acclamation
Regional Director North West: 2 year term ending 12/31/2022 – John Foster ran unopposed and is declared elected by acclamation
Regional Director South West: 2 year term ending 12/31/2022 – Chris Kilgus ran unopposed and is declared elected by acclamation
Regional Director North Central: 2 year term ending 12/31/2022 – Michael Dunlevie ran unopposed and is declared elected by acclamation
Regional Director Mid Atlantic: 2 year term ending 12/31/2022 – John Persinger ran unopposed and is declared elected by acclamation
President (pro tem) – Jeff Knight
Because John Persinger decided to take on the Mid Atlantic Directorship, this left a vacancy in the President’s position.
IAW the Bylaws of the Beech Aero Club, should the President position become vacant, the Executive Vice President will step in to fill that position (pro tem) until the position comes up for election again next year.
It gives me great pleasure to announce the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Beech Aero Club for 2021. All appointments become effective 1 January 2021.

Northwest Region – John Foster
Southwest Region – Chris Kilgus
North Central Region – Mike Dunlevie
South Central Region – Nelson Amen
East Central Region – John Redmon
Mid Atlantic Region – John Persinger
Northeast Region – Tom Corcoran
Southeast Region – Tim Hill
International Region – Bruce Byer
In addition, the following board positions are appointed annually by the President and will be for a 1 year term.
Those persons in the positions ending 12/31/2020 are:
Newsletter Editor – Charlie Booton
Art Director – Rick Koch
Webmaster – Mark Gooderum
Technical Director – Rap McBurney
Director of Flight Operations and Safety –
At this time I see no reason to change any of these positions. However, the election of Bob Prange has left the Director of Operations and Flight Safety position vacant. This is an extremely important position, so I am reaching out to the membership for anyone who feels that they have the desire and experience to fill this position to please contact me directly. I won’t leave this position vacant, but I do want to ensure I can find someone who will be a “good fit” to do the job.
Please take a moment to consider where you can best assist your club, and make your desires known. There will be a number of committees struck this year that will be given specific projects to move forward on behalf of the Club. If you feel you can assist in any way, or if you have an idea that can make the club better, or even address a current shortcoming, then please make those ideas known to a Board or Executive member so we can consider your ideas.
