I’m having trouble logging in. I know my username and password are correct. What could be the cause?

The overwhelming majority of the time this question comes up, (1) the person is using an incorrect username or incorrect password. However if you have already gone through those troubleshooting steps, here are more things to check.

2) If you are able, check from a different computer. If you still can’t login, then you almost certainly are using the wrong username or password. If you can login from a different computer then the problem is with your computer, keep following these steps for more information.

3) Disable, or double check any password saving or password database type programs you might be running on your computer. They often might try to “auto-fill” in your username and password and might be sending the incorrect information. Also check from a different browser on your computer if available.

4) Check to make sure your computer’s security settings are set to enable cookies from the BAC website. You will need to consult the documentation of your web browser if you need to change your settings. You can also try this cookie test to make sure your browser is setup correctly.

5) Check the date and time on your computer. If your date and time are not correct, you may not be able to login to the website.

After several years of operation, we have not made any changes to the code which processes login information. When people have had login problems it has always come down to one of those five reasons.

Thank you for adding to the resources available for your Fellow BAC Members.
