Alright I have been looking at the BAC Fly-in Calander for 2005 and have found it to be empty. So I am proposing a BAC East Fly-in at Dayton Wright Brothers Airport on April 9th and 10th 2005.I beleive this is good middle ground for most of us in the eastern half of the country, it is 6 hours from my home Wiscasset Maine (KIWI) and 5 hours from Gulf Shores Alabama (KJKA) and 6 hours from Hays Kansas (KHYS)
I think we could make a weekend out of this and should be able to setup a tour of the Wright Brothers Bicycle Shop, Wright “B” Flyer Museum and the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park.
I will talk to the FBO Commander-Aero, Inc and see what they can do for us as far as parking and fuel. I will have to look into local hotels and van rentals, so that we can move around as a group, I think this will be cheaper. I know I am starting early, but it is only 6 months away and spring will be here before we know it.
