My family bought me an Airmap 2000C for Father’s Day this year. I have a Garmin 250XL in my plane, but the moving map is as basic as it gets. The truth be told, they bought and gave me a Garmin 496, I sent it back as I could not justify the cost of the unit.
The 2000C was 25% of the price of the 496. Anyway, I am thoroughly impressed with this unit, readability, functionality, and ease of use are incredible. The 2000C is and intuitive, logical moving map system. It also comes with everything you need, mounts, power cords, and great documentation. In my opininion this is now one of the best values out there – I paid $725 USD for it.
